📖 줄거리
식당의 계산원 하워드(우디 앨런)는 여기 저기 빚도 많고 도박과 주식에 빠져있는 하찮은 인물이다. 어느 날 동창인 TV작가 알프레드(마이클 머피)가 찾아와 블랙 리스트에 올라 있는 자기 대신 작가 역할을 해 달라고 부탁한다. 우정의 이름으로 제안을 수락한 하워드는 촉망 받는 작가가 누리는 부과 명예에 빠져든다. 자기가 대리인이라는 걸 잊어가는 사이 하워드는 냉전시대 빨갱이 사냥의 먹잇감이 된다.
